About
I’ve spent years paying attention to the space between words, intentions, and behavior.
A lot of that comes from the relationships I’ve had throughout my life. I grew up close to my mom and younger sister, and the women I’ve dated have often become some of my closest friends. At the same time, I’ve had lifelong friendships with men across very different personalities, relationships, and stages of life.
Being that close to both sides taught me to hold two perspectives at once. A man can experience a situation one way, a woman can experience the exact same situation completely differently, and neither perspective necessarily tells the whole story.
People are rarely as simple as the stories we tell ourselves about them.
That perspective was sharpened by more than a decade working in advertising and technology, where attention, behavior, persuasion, and indirect signals were part of the job.
Over time, I developed an ability to understand different perspectives and translate between them.
That has become the thread running through most of my work.
